About the role

As part as the Retail Coating Team (Pan Europe), based out of our new co-creation centre in Frankfurt, you will be instrumental in providing support to the Meat Coating business across Mainland Europe

Key responsibilities

• Commercially focused development and application lead creating market suitable, innovative products for key retail customers.
• Support Foodservice and regional RD&A Teams on key projects.
• Manage projects from ideation and bench development, through to scale-up and launch.
• Develop a strong knowledge and understanding of the meat and meat alternative coating products portfolio.
• Link consumer and customer insights into development of new products and renovation of existing products
• Work in line with business strategies to help deliver ambitious growth targets.
• Develop processing expertise to support customers in achieving the best possible product and possess the ability to problem solve and work through processing issues.
• Strongly collaborate with Production sites in improving efficiency through recipe and process optimisations.
• Be a Subject Matter Expert in Coatings.

Qualifications and skills

• BSc in Food Science/ Technology or related field
• Experience in Coatings Industry.
• Laboratory experience
• Processing/Manufacturing experience – to support on industrial trials and troubleshooting at customers.
• Interest in Food: creativity, practical skills & enjoyment of food
• Teamwork is essential, the role requires excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to share learnings, manage timelines & feedback results.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and inter-departmentally.
• Be adept at prioritising your work and managing a variety of projects/briefs.
• Possess good organisational and PC skills and knowledge of MS Office
• Availability to travel to customers and production sites.
• Languages: German – native or high level. English: high level.
